Expression- Creative projects; remixes, video mash-ups that are shared online.

Collaborative Problem solving- Wikipedia: everybody contributes information. Information/knowledge shared for free. Also- Wiki Questions.

Circulations- Individuals sharing information online- Charlie Sheen Story, Twitter posts online making mainstream news.

Libya crisis- People using mobile phone footage and uploading to YouTube.

The four major labels are- Universal, Warner, Emi and Sony. (4)

Technologial convergence is when different types of technologies are combined. (2)

Examples of devices which use technological convergence are- Blackberrys, ipods and ps3's. (4)

- One devise to have all your music on.
- Range of ways to download music.

-Musicians use social media to spread their music.

Misfits

Misfits is an example of intermedial media because it can be watched on tv, on 4od and youtube. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/misfits/4od

It can be accessed on the misfits website http://www.e4.com/misfits/ and there are fan pages for the characters of the show on social networking sites like facebook- http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Nathan-MISFITS/180021444173

Misfits is an example of technological convergence because it can be accessed via live streaming on smart phones. This increases audience pleasure because it can be watched pretty much where ever the view is. The intermedial nature of my product benefits the industry because it's good promotion.

Technological Convergence

Technologically convergent devices like iphones, blackberrys offer consumer choice.

Eg. Customers can... BBM (instant messaging), Games, social networking, search web, emails, talk/text, maps, Apps- blackberry app world, media player, camera/video.

Technological convergence happens when deivces offer media player, camera, recording, wi-fi... all on one device.
